Who am I?
Hi there! I’m Daniel Flynn, a proud parent of two wonderful kids in Harlow. With over a decade of experience in the private security field, I’ve held roles ranging from Close Protection Officer to Senior Management on large-scale infrastructure projects.
I’m excited to share my expertise and commitment to providing a trustworthy, dedicated security service for our local community. Together, we can create a safer environment for everyone!
What is Parent On Patrol?
Harlow POP UK - Parent On Patrol is a dedicated, security, community safety and well-being service to a localised area in Harlow.
A proactive presence will be established to ensure the safety, well-being and security of our children's educational facility.
I will provide a dedicated, unwavering service to ensure the safety of an establishment within our community.
Why is Harlow POP UK Necessary?
With widespread changes sweeping the UK and a growing sense of unease within communities all over the country, Harlow POP UK is a dynamic new service equipped to directly act against new threats to our communities up and down the country.
Our social feed page and Instagram details almost daily activities, which support the reasons for a service like Harlow POP UK.
Relevant Qualifications.
Patrolling Parent will at all times have their latest DBS Check with them, a Valid SIA Licence.
All will be provided to anyone who asks on request. This is to ensure complete transparency with anyone who engages with the service Harlow POP UK is providing.
This is a community-led initiative that needs community support to be able to function.

What will Harlow POP UK actually do?
Physical Presence.
I will, without exception, ensure that I am present at all times, regardless of the conditions, between 9:00 and 15:00 (6 hours). This covers the period during which our children are under the supervision of their teachers within their facility of education and are the legal responsibility of their educational facilities.
I will remain within the public space areas around the facility, not within the facility itself.
Should there be any issues from attempted breaches of the perimeter to loitering, I am present to engage with them prior to it escalating beyond control, and I will continually be a Parent on Patrol.
Acceptance Of Risk.
Physical Risk.
I am fully prepared and aware that I am undertaking significant responsibilities to ensure the success of Harlow POP UK, which, in turn, supports the well-being and safety of the community it serves as well as the obvious benefits of ensuring the safety of my own children.
I fully recognise the potential physical risks that may arise, and I stand ready to face any challenges head-on, especially as a parent and with my background in security and the associated training I have acquired, knowing my children are present in this environment.
Their safety is my paramount concern, underscoring my unwavering commitment to making Harlow POP UK a resounding success.
Legal Risk.
I am fully aware of the complexities that may arise from engaging with external threats and addressing challenges within our community, particularly concerning anti-social behaviour.
I assure you that I will diligently report any incidents through the appropriate channels and act with the utmost care, keeping the best interests of our community at the forefront.
This initiative has been designed with a thoughtful approach to prioritise the safety, security, and well-being of us all, and I am committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and protected.
